A Romanian Navy dredger was hit by a drifting mine it was trying to defuse in bad weather on Thursday in the Black Sea, the country's Defence Ministry said. The 75 crew members onboard the ship were unharmed following the explosion, the ministry added. Mines began floating in the Black Sea after Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24.
