Little is known about Namibia’s cetaceans and much of the data that exist needs to be updated.

The Namibia Dolphin Project research focuses on gathering baseline population level data, including abundance, behavior and distribution of marine mammals and turtles to assess their conservation status.

As a fisheries scientist I am keen to understand what the current opinion and general understanding of our Namibian fisheries resource is by the general population, whether they are interested in fishing or not. Herewith some questions to guide your thinking.
