If anyone at this stage of the year 2022 still suffers from the illusion that humanity lives in a globalised, and integrated world economy, then they only have themselves to blame for not kicking over the rock they’d been living under.

The global system has not only bifurcated, but even Larry Fink, president of BlackRock, (as reported here on Blindspot during March-April 2022) pronounced globalisation dead on arrival in a Ukrainian emergency room, at the onset of Russia’s special military operation. The planet and its panicked occupants have been catapulted back to the future, we have Cold War 2.0 staring us in the face, pitting Eurasia versus the ‘Woke West’.

Blindspots hide everywhere. In this edition we actually look at only two articles that some may consider old news, but, as we’ll see, today’s best news may just be hiding in a dusty corner of the digitosphere somewhere.
