The BOSCH JS260 top-handle jig saw provides a sturdy footplate for accuracy in the cut, as well as a 6.0 Amp motor and variable-speed control. The sturdy motor produces up to 3, 100 strokes per minute, with a 3/4 in. Stroke length. The variable-speed dial controls the maximum speed, while the accelerator trigger regulates the operating speed. This Jig saw is engineered with a low-vibration plunging design for cutting accuracy and smooth operation. It has a large heavy-gauge steel footplate. The JS260 multidirectional blade clamp delivers the superior grip of T-Shank blades (but it does not accept U-Shank blades). The tool-less T-Shank blade-change system makes blade insertion and removal quick. The tool has an always-on dust blower for max cut-line visibility and an ambidextrous lock-on button.

Axial-Glide System
The innovative Bosch Axial-Glide System gives the user durable precision in a compact workspace. Replacing the sliding rail system with a hinged or articulated glide arm system saves up to 10 inches of working room while giving the user enhanced alignment and a smooth glide for the life of the unit. As a result, users produce smooth cuts and have complete control over the saw's cutting motion.

Flexibility and Ease of Use
The all-metal bevel lock lever and range selector was designed to be upfront on this unit, to enable fast and easy bevel settings without reaching around behind the saw. The tall 4-1/4-inch sliding fences also support quick bevel set-ups, professional level precision and increased crown molding capacity.

Lock and Chop
For the utmost in chop cutting capacity for a 10-inch miter saw, the Bosch CM10GD has a crown/chop lock that locks the head in place. This enables users to power through upright base molding and nested crown molding. The adjustable miter detents with easy-read markings let you accurately set cuts up to 47 degrees left or right. The common angles have miter detents at 0, 15, 22.5, 31.6 and 45 degrees on the right and left, and 60 degrees on the right.

Dust in the Bag
Like other Bosch models, this saw includes a combination dust chute and vacuum adapter to hook up your 1-14-inch and 35mm hoses. The "click and clean" platform ensures that the vac hose remains in place, so users can concentrate on making the cut.

"Unfortunately everything seems to be made in china now days including this. I have a specialty stair company and We use this saw daily. Compared to all the other saws that I have used, which are many over the last 37 years, this saw is great!
Pros: 1. decent strength in the motor
2. All the functions in front and work well
3. miters past 45* in all direction
4. pivoting slide arm is a great design
Cons: 1. I personally like a laser for quick reference, this does not come with one but i purchased a battery operated one and I always seem to be
replacing batteries.
2. A bit heavy but this is not a problem for me.
3. Sawdust gets in the mechanism on the rear causing it to not let the angle miter even get to a 45* at times and doesn't always blow out that
easy.
4. I run a dust collector to the saw and still it's not very efficient, needs a better design on the chute."
