Columbine

One crime would forever transform North America. School shootings were a fairly new phenomenon in the 1990s but the Columbine High School shooting gained much media attention, putting the school shooter on the map. Along with this attention came false information, plenty of it. To this day, the crime is idolised by many disturbed modern shooters and the two teenaged gunmen serve as a macabre source of 'inspiration' to many who feel alienated from their peer's. This misbelief being fuelled by the false media narrative of the shooters being solitary loners. Columbine still remains relevant to this day and the events that transpired on April 20 1999, will forever remain a bad memory.
