Two MI-24 Hind attack helicopters entered Russia and conducted an unguided rocket strikes on a Russian oil depot in the city of Belgorod in what appears to be the first airstrike on Russian soil since the Korean war.

Videos from the attack on Belgorod appeared online in the morning on Friday April 1st.

According to the Moscow Times the governour of Belgorod confirmed the attack.

It is unlcear how the MI-24 helicopters managed to evade Russian military presence between the boarder of Ukraine and Russia and why Russian anti-air defense failed to stop them.

The low flying helicopters seemingly entered the city located about 18 miles north of the Ukrainian border and destroyed the oil depot with what appears to have been S-8 rockets.

Since there have been numerous accusations of Russia planning to stage false-flag attacks on their territory to shape the narrative of the war we leave this option open even if we do not belive that this is the case.
