Doctors, women raising awareness for ovarian cancer

In 2019, Alicia Weber felt a pain in her side that she thought was just a stomach issue. She went to an ER and hours later learned she had ovarian cancer. Dr. Ajit Gubi said many women ignore pains that are symptoms of ovarian cancer and encouraged women to get checked. "Symptoms can mask anything. It can mask GI disturbances. So a little bit of abdominal pain, a little bit of abdominal bloating. You kind of push it aside going, oh, I've had that before. It'll go away," he said.
