MI: State court declares 1931 abortion ban is unconstitutional

A Michigan state court declared Michigan’s abortion ban unconstitutional and blocked it from being enforced Wednesday. The 91-year-old law prohibited abortions even in the cases of rape or incest, except to save the pregnant woman's life. Under the law, abortion providers and women who use medicine for the purposes of abortion, would face up to four years in prison.
