Plano woman arrested after racist parking lot confrontation goes viral (full video)

This footage was shot in the parking lot of a popular commercial area in Plano along the Dallas North Tollway near Parker Road on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, shortly after 8 p.m.

On Thursday, August 25, at approximately 3:50 p.m., Plano police arrested one of the women in the video, Esmeralda Upton, on one charge of Assault (Bodily Injury) and one charge of Terroristic Threats.

The incident remains under investigation by the Plano Police Department’s Crime Against Persons Unit as a hate crime, and additional charges may be forthcoming.
