EP 447 - THE GREAT DOCUMENT WHICH CREATED A NATION

Our founding father spent 13 years discussing, writing, and rewriting what is today, our founding document, the law of the land, our United States Constitution. There are a great many fantastic sources of information. The foremost being the Federalist Papers. They were letters to the Editor of The New Yorker. To be able to communicate and get feedback from the public, letter were written to the editor informing the public what was being discussed, why, and the thinking behind it. The founding fathers understood that they were not the smartest, more most knowledgeable of men in the room. They reaching out like this, and many scholarly, knowledgeable, and even the uneducated wise, would add there two cents with the delegates in their towns and villages. Information our founding fathers were unaware of poured in. Historical information about the fall of Caesar, and what really happened in the Congress of antient Greece. How power was taken slowly by the Roman Parliament, How it came that Alexander the Great never handed off his ring, leaving no king to follow him. The part few know, is that Alexander was made into what he never wanted to be, a king. He never wanted that. So he ended it with his death. He refused to hand his ring to anyone. He dropped it onto the floor with his dying breath. That's what he thought of kings.

They took this vast wealth of historical knowledge, gathered from sages, farmers, and barkkeps all over the land, and Devil's Advocated, What If! They spent years devising mechanism in the legal document to prevent the same political pitfalls which brought down every past Democracy in history. They concluded that Democracy will always devolve into a form of theocracy, and every time, it started with different ruling classes, joining forces until eventually there were only two. At some point, each time, these two political parties would either coalesce as one, or divide the population to an inevitable civil conflict. Their goal is always the same, there can be only one.

The civil conflict reached a fevered pitch, such that the common man just wanted an end to it. That's when the totalitarian steps in to offer everyone exactly what the want at the moment, an end to the internal war. But that solution always carries the price of complete loss of liberty. The common man never saw that far into the future. They just followed along with the solution to the immediate problem. And a new king is born. Loved for having saved the day. But soon hated for taken control of their future. But he was handed the mechanisms by which it hold onto that power. It was handed to him by the very people he now ruled over.

This has always been the folly of Political Parties, the inevitable joining of, or all out war between them. So the founding fathers set forth to create what had never been done in governance. A true Republic, not a Democracy, which is mob rule, but a Bottom Up system, wherein the choices come from the people, filter up to local, then state, then federal government. A system wherein the citizens hire government servants to do as the people need done, write the laws such that the people can live as they choose, and provide the services the people desire.

We lost our way. Very quickly the citizens started seeing their hired government servants as leaders, to be hailed and help up high. We put them on a pedastol as if better than us. The parties are struggling for their very existences now. Either they finally force the citizens to accept federal control, as they join as one government, or the war is coming. Both parties have created "BELIEVERS" in parties, and not in our Republic, our liberty, our right do decide for ourselves. Throughout history, it has never failed to devolve into one of these two ends.

But, our founding fathers left us the the most powerful tool, the simple vote. The bottom up command of the will of the people. The will of the people, passed up from local, to state, to the federal government. This is why they have hijacked the entire process. This is why over the decades, they have told us how best it should be done. What we are experience now, is what the Greeks went through. But this time, they used the technology we have come to trust. They gave us "Election Voting Machines," for our convenience. They hijacked our election process.
