you have multiple forms of meditation, in my opinion mindful meditation is the most important for our todays society. The reason for this is due to overstimulation, thus a shorter attention span follows.
take for example, my dad. he has a really short attention span.
he is a very busy man, and i am proud of him for that.(because he is very succesful), but whenever i try to explain something to him, he switches subject. looks away or notices something and talks about it. my estimate is, *when the talk is'nt formal* that he can't pay REAL attention for more then 20 seconds, this is a real problem, we shouldn't neglect it. Mindful meditation prolongs your attention span, so if you recognized yourself in the example, start meditating!
