Social media has recently emerged as a lifeline for many people who seek to draw attention to issues and challenges that are downplayed or ignored by mainstream media, including the plight of Palestinians.

However, the exclusion of Palestinian voices from mainstream media narratives in the West is rife. Tech giant Meta, the owner of Facebook, Instagram, and Whatsapp is being linked more and more to the suppression of pro-Palestine content.
