Generator Design Part 9 - Prototype Results

A prototype was built according to the calculations and tested. Long story short, the power was just over half of that required. I suspect that the cheap magnets were much weaker than expected. If I had to make it again, I'd probably go with 1/2" diameter magnets that are 1/16" thick N52, or 1/10" thick N42 with a 14 GA steel back plate. But the prototype provides a valuable anchor point for the next design iteration.
