Review : The standard

"I hung this from the ceiling in my shop. I go in and set it for a time based on how long I plan on working with a two hour plus window to run after I leave. I have noticed a dramatic reduction in the amount of latent dust in my shop when I return the next time. I had purchased a cheaper model (You know the one. They make it for about a dozen companies with different logos.) and right out of the box sitting on a table, the air stream on high was not terribly noticeable unless you were standing right near it. This one, on medium, blows enough of a stream to the wall of my shop about ten feet away that it moves the shop vac hoses I have hanging on a peg. That's what you want: A blower with enough power to push the clean air out into the shop area and keep the dust suspended until it circles around to be captured by the filter. On high, it's a small hurricane. Hang it from the ceiling, exhaust side away from the door so it sucks in bad air instead of blowing dust towards the door.

My only complaint is that the replacement filters are a bit pricey. But, Filtrete filters fit very snugly into the frame and are about a third the price. To extend the life, every few uses I take my shop vac and vacuum the outer filter to try and remove the cake that's built up and get better performance.

Don't skimp on buying an air filtration unit. You've made the decision that your lungs need protection, now don't go cheap on something as important as this. Get a good one."

Review : Test Before Installing

"As others have stated, remove filters and foam shipping blocks and cycle unit on a workbench or saw horses before installing. Thanks to previous posters for this advice.

Tested my unit upon arrival:
Low speed- fan wobbled
Medium speed- did not run at all
High speed- fan dangerously wobbled
Repack and back to ups one hour later. CPO outlet paid for return shipping.

Second unit received from CPO in one week.
Table tested unit:
Low speed- fan had no wobble
Medium speed-fan had no wobble
High speed-fan had no wobble
After installing, ran unit on medium time delay for 2 hours, smooth and quiet.
Pleased with the quick response from CPO outlet to replace the unit.
Jet could do better to insure that the packing material used will withstand the shipping process."
