• Details: Strong northwesterly winds are expected to develop over the Strait of Georgia tonight. Blustery winds are also expected over Nanaimo and Vancouver. These winds will develop overnight, and will continue throughout tomorrow, easing early Thursday.

• Sustained Winds: 20 to 40km/h over Nanaimo and Vancouver, except 50 to 60km/h over the Strait of Georgia.

• Wind Gusts: 50 to 70km/h over Nanaimo and Vancouver, except 70 to 80km/h over the Strait of Georgia.

• Timing: Valid between 3 am Wednesday and 4 am Thursday.

At this point, winds are not expected to cause significant damage or outages, but ferry cancelations are likely tomorrow.
