We encountered a thirsty hummingbird on the back deck on Labor Day. These few times he actually stayed a while and took numerous drinks out of the feeder. All four of us on the deck had to be extremely quiet, because if we moved or spoke at all, the tiny hummingbird would quickly fly away.
