For the first time, footage of the Titanic in 8K has been released, allowing viewers to peer at the iconic shipwreck front and center. USA Today is reporting.

OceanGate, a commercial expedition group, took the footage this year and released a one-minute clip of the 8,000 resolution of the sunken British passenger liner. The 110-year-old ship was found approximately 400 nautical miles from Newfoundland, Canada, and 2.4 below the surface of the Atlantic Ocean.  Fox News is reporting.

The video has already racked up nearly 3 million views on YouTube, even though the average TV or computer screen has much lower resolution than the 8K footage. Arstechnica.com reported.
