Removing ego from exercise (faster progress!)

Sometimes we avoid a perfectly good progression because we're ashamed of it or think we're "too advanced" for it.

This can be understandable. Some exercises look "prettier" than others.

(Personally, I've never liked a "straddle" anything. They just look a feel weird to me).

But regardless of what you choose or how advanced you are, IF you find yourself struggling, ask yourself if you're using the right progression for you.

This is especially true (and helpful) to my friends who are creators and seen as "teachers." Some of them have realized they make better planche progress with a tuck rather than a straddle, etc.

With weight lifting, progression is pretty straightforward. As you get stronger, you add more weight.

Calisthenics is similar in that we just use harder variations!

Remember that our training is when we BUILD strength. Doing the hardest variations we can is just how we DEMONSTRATE strength.

Have a great day everyone!
