FOI053: Nostra Aetate

In September of 1960, Pope John the 23rd tasked Cardinal Austin Bea to compose a decree on the relationship of the Church and the Jews. Five years later, the resulting declaration, called Nostra Aetate, would look to erase over a thousand years of hate and forever change the Catholic Church’s relationship with the Jewish people.
