Indigenous humans have traditionally used pine needles to support immune, respiratory and cardiovascular health.
In 2021, many well known scientists began speaking about pine needles and brought it back into focus because of the numerous compounds contained within the needles.
One of the most intriguing compounds found naturally within only certain species of pine trees, is shikimic acid. Naturally occurring shikimic acid is known in the scientific literature to support lung health, respiratory function and immune system health.
Shikimic acid found naturally within certain pine trees needles has also been shown to help support myelin sheath health, which acts as \\\”insulation\\\” for the electrical communication of neurons that spans across the brain and entire nervous system.
Pine needles contain potent free-radical scavengers, essential oils, beneficial plant acids, procyanidins, vitamin C and flavonoid glycosides, which support cardiovascular health and healthy blood circulation.
Ascent Nutrition has made available Pine Needle Extract, which is wild-harvested White Pine (Pinus strobus) needle extracted into organic vegetable glycerin at a 1:4 ratio.
We sustainably and regeneratively hand harvest in the beautiful Canadian forests to utilize the pure and clean White Pine needles. We don’t use alcohol as the preservative, but instead, we use an organic vegetable glycerin that gives it a sweet and flavorful taste.
Each serving contains 267 mg of White Pine needle extract.
Pine Needles help support the health of the cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological and immune systems, and provide many numerous compounds that are recognized as being able to support health in multiple ways.
