Will this blockchain regain its dominance? Solana once was thought to be a no brainer for its quick transaction speeds, low transaction cost and big community. Solana which is considered by many to be a VC owned blockchain, and they might have a point. VC means "Venture Capitalist", this is not the best look for a crypto currency. Crypto is more of a decentralized vision. Solana seems to have more business partners money then they do regular investor's. There is also what seems to be a deal amongst those VC's to not sell their initial investment into Solana. This scares a lot of would be Solana buyers. The fear of a mass dump calculated by initial Solana investors. There is also the blockchain itself, Solana seems to have a tendency to shut down once the network hits scalability limits. This has occurred about 7 times in less then a year I believe.
Solana's competitors like Cardano and Ethereum have soared as of late. The two rival blockchains have outpaced Solana in growth price wise as of late. With Ethereum having it's merge and Cardano's upcoming Vasil hard fork the two have seen a lot of attention. Solana may have some ground to cover when it comes to the OG's of crypto.
