Throughout its extensive life, the Centurion had a total of 13 marks and a number of sub-variants. The Centurion Mk. 9, also known as FV4015, was an British medium tank improved version of the Mk. 7 fitted with the L7 105mm gun. The Centurion Mk. 9/1 variant further refined the design with the addition of infrared night-sighting equipment.
