Amazons "The Rings of Power" Is a gorgeous, shallow puddle of storytelling with writing that begs you to stop watching and plotlines that ask to be ignored. While it is true that the show is loosely based on Tolkien's work, it should be viewed for what it is... something else entirely that is not comparable, or equal in any regard.

Best enjoyed with low expectations... the show thus far is anything but compelling.
