1959-1984 Detroit Record Store Owner Details His Store's Appearance

Lee Canady is one of my best friends.
We talk almost every day (sometimes a couple times a day)
Lee Canady is the GREATEST LIVING RECORD STORE OWNER
His record store is closed now, but he is the most LEGENDARY record store owner alive—bar NONE! His store stood in the center of the city of Detroit from 1959 until 1984. Berry Gordy started Motown in Lee's store.
I should add that Lee was recognized OFFICIALLY by the City of Detroit twenty years ago to be the FIRST black record store owner in America to buy records in bulk direct from the manufacturer. This gave Lee say as to what played on the radio and also what would be an a-side or a b-side.
If you like records from the mid-to-late twentieth century, you can probably thank Lee for a lot of them EXISTING.

This is a conversation for another time, but…… JIMI HENDRIX MIGHT NOT HAVE SUCCEEDED WITHOUT LEE CANADY
I will pray for America. Please pray for me. God Bless you.
