Current News: VTB Bank launches Chinese yuan transfers, bypassing SWIFT #shorts #news

VTB Bank on Tuesday said it has become the first Russian bank to launch money transfers to China in yuan without using the international messaging system SWIFT. Western countries had cut-off Russian banks from SWIFT in March over Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Maximum amount of a single money transfer is equivalent to 20 million roubles (approx $3,28,677), VTB Bank said.
