In this special Pangea's Grandangolo episode Jean Marazzani Visconti discusses the massacre of Medak Pocket and the dissolution of Yugoslavia. There is a parallel between the Donbass in Ukraine and the Krajine Serbe in the Yugoslav Federation. Krajina as Ukraine means border. The Krajine Serbe were regions at the foot of Croatia that the western powers had included in Croatia as part of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia and the Yugoslav socialist federation later. When Croatia had detached from the Federation in 1990, the Krajine had formed Krajina's Republika Serba, they would have agreed to be part of Croatia, but only in the context of a confederation of the Yugoslave republics. This is their story.
