Today we read about the Israelites renewing this covenant at Shechem. Joshua dies at the end of this chapter. The Teacher in Ecclesiastes writes about the meaninglessness of pleasure, toil, wisdom, and folly. Micah rebukes the prophets and wicked leadership of Israel.
