Chiefs Injury Report Ft. Blake Bell + Could Kansas City Sign LB Blake Martinez?

Kansas City Chiefs Rumors are heating up as LB Blake Martinez could be a potential free agent target. Bleacher Report listed Martinez as a player the Chiefs could sign before Week 1 of the 2022 NFL Season. With Nick Bolton and Willie Gay Jr. established at linebacker, Chiefs Report host Harrison Graham doesn’t believe that signing Martinez is the right fit for Kansas City.

Today’s Chiefs news focuses on the Chiefs Injury Report as head coach Andy Reid announced that TE Blake Bell will go on injured reserve this week. Bell recently had hip surgery and his injury recovery timetable is unknown at this point. Reid did say that everyone else practiced today as players like JuJu Smith-Schuster and Marquez Valdes-Scantling returned and look ready to go. In other Chiefs news, Josh Gordon said he chose to sign with the Titans practice squad over the Chiefs practice squad. Gordon said he felt Tennessee was a better opportunity to eventually get playing time at WR.

The Chiefs have signed safety James Wiggins to their practice squad after a workout according to NFL Insider Aaron Wilson of the Pro Football Network.
