Breed Your Own Rose: Hybridization in 4 Steps

To hybridize a rose is a simple matter, but it does take a little bit of planning and preparation. In nature, roses are cross-pollinated by bees - but for controlled breeding, you will need to collect the pollen yourself and transfer it to your chosen "mother plant" (seed parent) without interference from those same bees. With a little care, this can be done over the course of 3 days or so, then it's just left to waiting for seeds to develop and germinate as normal. In this video I'll go through rose hybridization step-by-step at an amateur level.
