Trudeau's Up-to-date Fall 2022 Plans Leaked

Buckle up! PM Justin Trudeau Winnipeg remarks September 1st, 2022

PM Trudeau was in Winnipeg and was asked if the restrictions in planes and trains would be loosened, and whether or not ArriveCan would be dropped. Canada is one of the few places left in the world that has mask mandates still on trains and planes, and of course, the ArriveCan App is a global first.

Echoing the Federal Health Minister Duclos, Trudeau spoke about being up-to-date. Trudeau repeatedly mentioned being up-to-date in conjunction with provinces having to make decisions around restrictions and mandates. He tied being up-to-date with possible restrictions and mandates this fall and winter 2022.

The Trudeau governments plan was internally named "Big Lift 2.0". We learned this because of cabinet documents being declassified. The documents were released as part of the federal court case that seeks to challenge the constitutionality of the travel mandate ban that barred over 5 million canadians from travelling for 8 months.

Of course much of the document remains redacted but from what we can tell, the federal government has been game planning strategies for this coming fall and winter 2022.

The National Advisory Committee on Immunization or NACI recently put out a statement.

In their September 1st statement they made it clear that a shorter interval between procedures is possible, as short as every 3 months, or every 90 days.
