“Chongqing Meets Sydney | Celebrate the Year of the Tiger”

In 2022, the Chinese Lunar New Year falls on Feb 1. Also known as the Spring Festival, it is an important holiday in China, a time for celebrating and feasting, along with honoring household and heavenly deities and ancestors for all the Chinese worldwide. Chongqing, the biggest municipality in Southwest China with a 30 million population, has a long relationship with Australia since the country built its first embassy of China here. Chongqing and Sydney have aligned as sister cities and will keep promoting communication and cooperation of culture and commerce. Tomorrow, anchors from iChongqing and our guest host Austin Kozak from People’s Daily Online Australia will connect on a live stream to present to you the Spring Festival vibes in Chongqing and Sydney. Cho Li will appear in Danzishi, a historical site with a modern sense in Chongqing, and Austin will show us the bustling celebrations in Chinatown of Sydney. We would love to have you join us to feel the amazing vibes and talk about how you wanna start your New Year. It’s the Year of the Tiger, and the tiger stands for bravery, confidence, and strength. So stay tuned, and shout your wishes out!
