Also known as the Spring Festival, it is an important holiday in China, a time for celebrating and feasting, along with honoring household and heavenly deities and ancestors for all the Chinese worldwide. Chongqing, the biggest municipality in Southwest China with a 30 million population, has a long relationship with Australia since the country built its first embassy of China here. Chongqing and Sydney have aligned as sister cities and will keep promoting communication and cooperation of culture and commerce.
