“How Does China's University Promote Cultural Exchange Overseas?”
Chongqing is the youngest and the biggest municipality in Southwestern China, with over 30 million population. Known for its stunning night view and booming economy, this city strives to play a more important role in the world’s stage of cultural exchange nowadays. Chongqing University (CQU) is one of the top 1% Chinese universities within the framework of the State “211 Project and 985 Project” and the state "world-class universities project". The Institute Confucius of Pisa is the outcome of a cooperation agreement between Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies and Chongqing University signed in December 2004. It is an important cultural, economic and academic project, which, under the direction of a group of scholars and experts, represents a point of reference for the mutual understanding, exchanges, and economic activities between Tuscany and China, as well as for the cultural recognition of the Chinese community in Tuscany.
Today, Marco from Pisa and Eiko from Chongqing will connect on the live stream to show the beautiful campus of Chongqing University and Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies, where we can share our insights of how China’s universities promote the cultural exchange overseas, and what does the institute do for the international education during the covid-19 period. Stay tuned and tell us what you want to know!
