Free Review of the P90X3 Workout. The P90X3 workout is the lasts video exercise series by trainer Tony Horton. It is generally sold by beach body products. After recovering from a shoulder injury (see how to heal shoulder injury video on my channel), Fit decided to give the P90X3 a go and completed the entire 90 day program.

The program consists of more than a dozen workouts ranging from yoga to pilates and from strength training to cardio. It is a mix of about every possible workout program there is. Pilates, Dynamix, Agility Training, MMX, Cardio, Body Weight Training, Yoga, Weight Training, and you name it. Each workout is about 30 minutes long. This is the good part. It also includes a 3 minute or so warmup. A short warm up is all you need anyway. That's all it takes to get fluid moving in your joints and het your heart started. Unfortunately, that is about all the good I have to say about the product. Like the P90X, the P90X3 has many dangerous exercises. Donkey Kicks, Crane poses, and Plyo push ups to name a few. I feel that these type exercises should not be encouraged as they provide very little benefit and a high risk of smashing your face in. Also, the series lacks focus. It seems they want to expose the customer to all the different types of workouts there are in one series. The result is that you really don't concentrate on one style. For instance, I did push ups on almost every video, but didn't do any mid back strength training. The creates disproportionate muscle development and result in long term injuries. My advice is to save your money and purchase something more tailored to your needs. If you like yoga or pilates, try PIYO by Chalene Johnson. If you like strength training, try traditional P90X by Tony Horton or the Supreme 90 by Tom Holland. IF you want a basic overall workout in 30 minutes and you are a beginner, try Jillian Michaels 30 day shred. Lastly, if you like cardio, try Shaun T's Insanity or Focus T25.
