Seven Israelis – six soldiers and a civilian – were wounded when gunmen opened fire on a bus in the Jordan Valley, the Israel Defense Forces said Sunday. One of the soldiers was severely injured and the others were slightly injured in the incident in the West Bank. All are conscious and have been evacuated to a hospital, the military said in a statement. The families of the wounded have been informed. The IDF and Israel Police apprehended two suspects in a vehicle following a search, the IDF said. Israeli security forces are continuing searches after the suspects were transferred to the Israeli Security Agency, known as the Shin Bet, for further processing. Hamas spokesman Abd al-Latif al-Qanou'a praised the shooting Sunday without explicitly saying Hamas was responsible, calling it a “heroic operation” and “Palestinian resistance operations against the Zionist occupier and herds of settlers.”
