The U.S. and The World are at a Crossroad with the paths being Individual Liberty with a form of Determined Self Reliance or Subservience from a form of Collectivism and Compliance!

the Teachers Union is damaging our children's future and defrauding the Tax Payers and is not aligned with U.S. Labor

Labor Day has been a national holiday since 1894, when President Grover Cleveland signed the law that Congress passed designating the first Monday in September a holiday for workers. Labor Day, is an annual celebration of workers and their achievements that originated during one of American labor history’s most dismal chapters.
Why Do We Celebrate Labor Day?
Most people believe it is to celebrate the men and today women, who work and toil with sweat pouring out of their bodies to build and repair our nation or drive hours on our nation’s roadways hours to deliver food and the goods from the hours of hard work and commitment our farmers and manufacturing plants produce, but they are mistaken.
Looking back to the origin of Labor Day in the late 1800s, it was at the height of the Industrial Revolution in the United States, when the average American worked 12-hour days and seven-day weeks in order to eke out a basic living. Despite restrictions in some states, children as young as 5 or 6 toiled in mills, factories and mines across the country, earning a fraction of their adult counterparts’ wages.
People of all ages, particularly the very poor and recent immigrants, often faced extremely unsafe working conditions, with insufficient access to fresh air, sanitary facilities and breaks.
As manufacturing increasingly supplanted agriculture as the wellspring of American employment, labor unions, which had first appeared in the late 18th century, grew more prominent and vocal. They began organizing strikes and rallies to protest poor conditions and compel employers to renegotiate hours and pay.
The idea of a “workingmen’s holiday,” celebrated on the first Monday in September, caught on in other industrial centers across the country, and many states passed legislation recognizing it. Congress would not legalize the holiday until 12 years later, when a watershed moment in American labor history brought workers’ rights squarely into the public’s view…”
Organizations like the AFL-CIO that once represented Labor and Tradesmen have branched out over decades to include office staff and management which once opposed the everyday laborer and their efforts to earn a decent wage, improve working conditions, and their right to access breaks and even sanitary conditions. I can speak from experience from my days as a Teamster a half century ago; office management frowned upon being forced to allow us these comforts.
Today too many things have changed to the point where unions under the AFL-CIO have conflicting interests with the best interests of members and even the future of our nation. What was once a proud motto of a “Fair Days Work for a Fair Days Pay,” has been transformed into a form of “Entitlement” by academics that believe they are of higher intelligence to the point they demand the right to tell you what to think.
Take the American Federation of Teachers, an affiliate of the AFL-CIO, that was was founded in Chicago and was chartered by the American Federation of Labor in 1916, but has completely lost its way. These academics no longer want just the basic as good working conditions, pay and decent hours, they now demand that the core of the American work force the American Family support programs and frivolous courses that insult the intelligence and beliefs of these same families that fund them. They are all members of the same AFL-CIO whose membership my want to do some serious soul searching about where this once union conglomerate wants be in the future and if their country that provides them with the opportunity to make good life for themselves and their families is worth destroying.
President of the AFL-CIO Elizabeth H. Shuler who claims to be an American labor activist and, took over on August 5, 2021, President of the AFL–CIO after former President Richard Trumka died who once labeled Joe Biden as the most Union Friendly President. Loyalties to America or Not!
