Today we will briefly touch upon President Putin's plenary speech at the 25th SPIEF conference in St Petersburg on June 17th, 2022.

I covered this speech and its significance for the world's monetary architecture on June 23rd but it seems that people are finally waking up to it on social media.

My feeling is that Putin's speech will be just as significant as President Nixon's shock announcement on August 15, 1971, when he detached the dollar from the gold anchor of the Bretton Woods agreement.
