According to a report that was released by Deloitte: 12 Trends Shaping the Cities in 2030, smart and sustainable buildings and infrastructure is one of the trends, including constructing the city with sustainable buildings, leveraging data to optimize energy consumption and resource use, and management in utilities such as construction and waste, water and energy.

To reach the carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals, China is constantly putting effort into decreasing the carbon emission of the construction industry. iChongqing invited Goh Huan Tong, General Manager of Project Development, Chongqing, CapitaLand Development (China), Tee Yen Ching, Chief Engineer of Sustainable Energy Solutions of SP Group, and Gong Cong, a lecturer from the School of Architecture and Planning Chongqing University to jointly live stream from Chongqing to Singapore.
