DAY IN THE LIFE | ANTIQUES & VINTAGE RESELLER | REAL WORLD POV

People often ask how we can keep up with so many locations spread so far! This video shows an example of the long days of dedication and effort that make it possible to bring the antique and vintage experience to both our viewers and our real world collectors across the country.

On this day, sourcing comes first, with a surprise garage sale haul and consignment merchandise already piling up in the van! Among the pile is a bunch of .925 silver that’s less than "sterling" in condition...we show where we go to make a nice big sale before we go scouting for more merchandise.

We get a quick view of Seattle’s Pioneer Square enroute to Epic Antique, where our mall space receives a makeover! We show and tell the highlights of the booth, from Boeing B-52 desk models to an Italian plastic fantastic stand that’s already making us money. The display is overstuffed when we leave, but this has to hold for a few months, so we cross the line from balanced display to organized clutter, and talk about items and prices!

Next it’s a trip past Pike Place Market on our way to a condo, where a table full of collectible figures joins us on consignment for our trip north to Snohomish Star Center Mall. Our mall space there converts to fall, with the addition of Roseville teapots, Native Americana and some handsome small scale furniture. It’s teeming with merchandise, yet somehow still shoppable when we leave!

Speeding through the backroads of South Puget Sound, we make it to Centralia in time to spruce up our new showcase and expanded booth at Tower Avenue Antiques. We’ve never gotten to show you this space, so we take time to linger over a wide variety of American pottery, Western memorabilia, kitchen collectibles and fabulous Thanksgiving dinnerware! Sold prices on select items are shown to help other resellers learn.

It’s been a long day, but that’s what it takes sometimes to bring the real world and online world of antiques and vintage together! We hope you enjoy seeing more of how it really is to live the life of a vintage reseller.
