Bboy battle… 21 years ago today 2 of the best Bboys of the time @bebebreaks & @bboybenjikingz met in SAn Diego at the 2001 Mighty 4 West Coast your presented by #paulski @iamcrosone @tribalstreetwear .

This is the era of raw Bboy battles and this battle Bebe and Benji had real beef where this battle could of ended in a fight! Let alone an amazing Battle.

At the time Benji had made a name for himself at the Miami Bboy Pro Am.

In Miami the Stomping grounds of the famous @groundzerocrew_bboys they considered Benji a Biter for his flexible style that ground zero crew was known for! @zoobtron specifically called out Benji for stealing moves… which in bboying is a big NO NO and back in the days could lead to a real fight.

Breakstreet and the crew was in the house during this battle and the energy was high the skill level was getting superhuman and the breaking scene started to get more and more organized with events, exhibition battles and more. Bebe represented his crew strong and Benji came with his entertaining style and Showmanship. The real winner was the Bboy community cause this battle was a clash of two countries and inspired many to go hard or go home!

On the road to Breaking in the Olympics “No Biting” and “Originality” are key to growth because if you always bite eventually you’ll be starving because originality breeds endless powers to continue to create and innovate while biters will be eaten and eventually just disappear and quit..
