I am also using the Vogue 8804 pattern, which is also by Claire Shaeffer. I have modified the pattern to fit my needs as far as length and fitting issues. As I strive to follow Claire’s guidance in spirit, I do go on my own as far as technique.

Welcome to Act 2 of this series on making a Chanel jacket using (mostly) couture techniques and based on the Vogue 8804 pattern by Claire Shaeffer.
This time I am making those little pockets. Running into some trim and bulk issues, of course but finding a way out. Also walking through the side seam easing, connecting to the front piece, lining the front section, quilting the side front and finally blind sewing the little bitty pockets on. Whew. What a day!
