Beach Camping on Bolivar Peninsula, Texas - NYE Firework Show - Beef Stew Dinner - Bonus Footage!

We have finally made it to the Gulf Coast! Specifically, Bolivar Peninsula, just outside Houston, Texas. This place was seriously humid! Katrina had never had a proper taste of what humidity in the 90% plus range feels like. Unpleasant, I think is what we could both agree to call it!

We found ourselves a camping spot to park our Rv and truck literally ON the beach, just outside of where the waves were crashing. A serious beach front view to say the least. We got ourselves a beach front house for free for a week! ;)

I make a pretty awesome beef and veggie stew, and Katrina and I both try out and give our opinion on Pomelos, the giant, grapefruit like citrus fruit.
Granted, this fruit was a little on the old side, but we didn't think much of it. It was kinda a cool novelty sized grapefruit, but beyond that we both agreed it was kinda "meh" at best. Would not buy again.

It was just about NYE when we arrived at this place, and part of that includes awesome fireworks. We watched the first night we were there, but had to go get a bunch of my own to set off. We found ourselves one of the many plentiful firework stands selling these pretty badass fireworks, unlike what I can buy in my home state of Oregon. This included a massive array of mortar shells, winged flying style fireworks, and firecrackers, and generally anything else you might be able to hurt yourself with if misused. The couple of people inside this truck were super funny, talking about their mischievous ways with fireworks when they got off work. Had a heck of a time setting these babies off right on the waterfront!
