Time To Harvest Our Turnip/Rutabaga

Fall means harvesttime and today we are harvesting turnip/rutabaga. I have a tendency to call Rutabaga, Turnip because growing up that is what we called it, however I am aware there is a distinction. Today I say I am harvesting our Turnip, but I am really referring to harvesting our Rutabaga. Rutabaga is so simple to grow and it transplants very easily. I usually over sow my Rutabaga seeds and when extra comes up I transplant them into another area of the garden. We love Turnip and Rutabaga! This year we grew Champion Purple Top and Joan.
