You guide a skull-chucking skeletal warrior on a quest for vengeance. Skeletal Avenger is a dungeon-crawling hack'n'slash where you'll build a new playstyle with perks for each run. The ultimate goal is revenge, but first, you need to master deadly tools and learn to defeat peculiar enemies.

Skeletal Avenger is a blast. It is fast-paced, flexible, responsive, and challenging. Enemy design is also great; there are a decent variety of enemies that ramp up in difficulty the further in the game you get. Most enemy attacks are telegraphed, so you will be dodging large area-of-effect attacks, frontal cones, dashes, and much more.

There are also projectile-based enemies that you’ll want to take out first to make your life easier. Some enemy combinations can be frustrating, but there are enough tools in your inventory to outwit your foes, and thus combat never feels insurmountable.

The weakest aspect of the encounter design for me were the bosses. At the end of each run, there is a mini-boss of a sort, but for the most part, these are just stronger versions of enemies you have killed many times before.
