We're in sunny Havana today, and we have time to shop before we do appraisals at the Antique & Design Center! This interesting mix of antique furniture, vintage collectibles and contemporary decor shows some good ideas for combining old keepsakes with newer comforts...and also is a great chance to show how to ferret out reseller bargains in a designer/decorator focused emporium.

We comb this spacious display with its furniture vignettes and shelves of finery, and uncover some deals in the process. That 70's display unit might not look right in this store, but it sure will look great in my MCM display space! From Shelley tableware to a great glove mold, we find the out-of-place items that will sell for more in our markets.

We also get to enjoy a lot of neat displays of antique furniture and furnishings, shown in the context of how they fit with modern living. From repurposed barn finds to Empire Revival grandeur, Havana has a great way of merging old and new that makes this a nice new diversion from my usual travel paths!
