Residents of Energodar submitted to the head of the IAEA an appeal to the world community regarding the Ukrainian shelling.

More than 20 thousand residents of cities and towns of the region signed an open letter. In it, the citizens demand that the shelling of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant by the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine be stopped. Grossi promised that their call to stop shelling would be heard.

"We ask you to firmly condemn the actions of the Ukrainian leadership in escalating the situation around the Zaporozhye power plant and warn of responsibility towards the World Community in case of continued shelling of the power plant," the letter states.

Grossi also showed a map of Ukrainian strikes on the territory of the nuclear plant.
