Russia bids farewell to Gorbachev, Putin a no show.

On Friday, a solemn funeral was held for former Soviet Union President Mikhail Gorbachev at the Kremlin in Moscow. Gorbachev was the last president of the Soviet Union and a well-respected international figure in diplomacy. Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin was not seen attending the funeral services.
