Looking again at chassis manufacturing, attaching hundreds of individual carbon fibers piece by piece to a chassis mold is a meticulous and time-consuming process, see Figure 3. The high-speed laminator operates according to clear instructions and diagrams given by the chassis designer, and the amount of carbon fiber in each specific area of the chassis reflects the load-carrying capacity of that area when the car is driven at high speed.
