Ruth 2:13 King James Version
13 Then she said, Let me find favour in thy sight, my lord; for that thou hast comforted me, and for that thou hast spoken friendly unto thine handmaid, though I be not like unto one of thine handmaidens.

GOOD EVENING IN YESHUA EVERYONE!!!
As I read this familiar passage of scripture from Ruth, the first thing that comes to my mind in all of this, is how I marvel at the hand of God on this young Moabite woman. I also see how lonely this poor young woman must have been, being in a strange land. Hardly anybody was welcoming her, but here's this kind man, who not only tells her stay in my fields, follow after my people, and is there to give her whatever she needs, not only shows me how much God was looking out for her, but I believe from that very first moment he saw her, Boaz was in love! I was also thinking about all the ways in which God has been there for me in my life throughout these many years, in particular the ways in which he's used people to comfort me when I felt alone, as well as the support He's given me through fellow believers, and I can't help but praise God for all of it!

I think that's why these questions from this morning’s devotional are so encouraging to my heart, and I'd like to share them with you tonight. Please read these questions very carefully, and I pray that God will encourage you through them as well.

How has God comforted you when you felt alone?

How has he used other people to support you through a community rooted in His love?

I'd like to share some things that are on my heart about this passage of scripture, through this vlog with all of you tonight, because I believe that God uses the things that we go through, the situations we experience, especially ones that involve being far away from home and our comfort zone, to not only bring glory and honor to His name, but comfort and encourage us, just as He did for Ruth. I invite you to join me in this vlog that I'm going to do on this precious passage out of Ruth, in which receive God's hand of sovereignty, protection, and matchmaking in this young woman’s life, and I pray that you'll learn to trust God, the Unexpected Friend, to not only be with you, but to provide all that you need. 😊

So, as I close this post for tonight, I want to encourage all of you to trust the One who will never leave you or forsake you, but will always be there to provide what you need, when you need it. That when life’s circumstances bring you to unexpected places that are stressful, frightening, and yes way out of your comfort zone, to trust God to help you make the most of whatever situation it is, and watch how He works in your life. Trust in the Friend that sticks closer than a brother (Proverbs 18:24)

UNTIL SUNDAY:

HAVE A VERY RESTFUL EVENING IN CHRIST JESUS!!!
