Sleeping Dogs VS Sifu (Demo)

Comparing some moves, combos, weapons and parkour of Sleeping Dogs and Sifu. Overall both of the games give a similar feel of being a complete Martial Arts badass and both games have their ups and downs. Sleeping dogs I would say is overall easier since enemies glow red when you can counter them and it's just one button. Also the combos and attacks aren't as complex. On the other hand Sifu requires faster reactions and knowledge of various combos to pull off cool looking sequences where Sleeping Dogs does that automatically if you just counter most enemies.

The weapons in both games have a huge difference, Sleeping Dogs so called staff is just a little gimmick that you get from a DLC but you can pick up other items just like in Sifu (although more limited). Weapons in Sifu also require more skill than in Sleeping Dogs since you can just smash everyone easily in Sleeping Dogs. Sleeping Dogs does have an advantage on knife play though since the knife animations and the blood effects make it look and feel like you are actually stabbing people, but we don't have enough footage with knives in Sifu to judge it completely.

Overall both games are extremely fun, if you love one of them you will love the other since both games feature similar mechanics and one of the best combat systems for Martial Arts games there is.
