In this episode, we cover5 Great Games New Nintendo Switch Owners Need In Their Collection.

One of the most popular Christmas gifts are video game systems, specifically the Nintendo Switch, Switch OLED, and Switch Lite. While the systems themselves offer a ton of fun and options, they don't come with any games out of the box. There are several free-to-play games on the system, such as Fortnite, but what about if you wanted to dive into some AAA titles from the Switch eShop or snag from a store with your Christmas Money? Well, we wanted to share 5 of our favorite games we highly recommend for both new Switch Owners, and ones long-time Switch owners might want to consider adding to their collection as well.

Party Games:
This is kind of an all-encompassing option here, as there are several great games that fit this description that are amazing. I love Use Your Words, a sort of Cards Against Humanity, however, in digital form. Use Your Words is a game that invites players to respond to a variety of mini-games and prompts with the funniest answers they can think of! Players play using their phones and tablets as controllers, making game-play seamless and quick to pick up. Players who get stumped can use one of the hidden "House Answers" to lay a trap for their fellow players once it's time for everyone to vote for their favorite. If you like the Jackbox games, Use Your Words should definitely be on your list.

Horizon Chase Turbo:
If you love classic racing games like Rad Racer or Out Run, you'll love Horizon Chase Turbo. Also available on the Xbox and PlayStation, you have a number of cars to start with to progress and race across different classes and series. You can race around the world, and with optional DLC, even follow the career of Formula 1 great Ayrton Senna.

Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury:
One of the things about the Switch is it is making it possible for gamers to experience some of the great games from the Wii U that may have missed out. Super Mario 3D World was amazing on the Wii U, taking everything about the 3DS game we loved and bringing it to a home console. In addition to the core gameplay, the Bowser's Fury game provides a fresh gaming experience, even if you did play the Wii U Version. This amazing 4-player couch co-op is just fun!

Super Mario Odyssey:
I don't use this term lightly, Mario Odyssey is a masterpiece! Where I was highly disappointed in Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Mario Odyssey was that next-generation Nintendo experience I dreamed of. The music is amazing, the graphics are stunning, and it is simply one of the finest games Nintendo has ever produced. The replay value is also extremely high, as there is a secondary mission that is fun and makes you want to complete the extra levels.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe:
Whether you are playing alone, couch co-op or online, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is one of the most fun games you'll play anytime. It takes the mechanics of the previous games, refines them, and gives them a beautiful next-gen graphical treatment. Another port of a Wii U Title, MK8 Deluxe also adds all the DLC from the Wii U version for the most complete version of the game you'll find.

Whether you go for the digital download or physical cartridges, there are so many great gaming experiences to have with the Switch. This is why it has done so well in the market, it doesn't need photo-realistic graphics to capture perfectly wonderful gameplay experiences and add to your collection. These are just some of my suggestions, I'd love to hear yours!
